Malcolm, Martin and Medgar: A Reunion

ImageHappy MLK Day and Inauguration! What a marvelous Monday to examine history, celebrate hopeful progress, and question current injustices.

Check out WNYC presentation of the reading of Malcolm, Martin and Medgar: A Reunion by A. Peter Bailey at Brooklyn Museum this weekend. What would a discussion between the three activists look like today? What do they think about hip hop and current politics? 50 years ago Dr. King gave his “Dream” speech. What has changed? What has remained, sadly, the same? Watch the play reading.

  1. This is a great day, and a historic one. Yesterday I listened to one of MLK’s speeches. The man was not only an incredible political and spiritual leader, he was also a poet. “The arc of the moral universe is long,” he said, “but it bends toward justice.” P.S. Dad would be so proud of you today, Em.
